If you’re looking for cooking inspiration and love Whole Foods, or you have foods you want or need to avoid, I highly recommend checking out this meal planning app. One day, while browsing the excellent Emily Bartlett’s Holistic Squid blog, I came across Real Plans, a new meal planning service that uses whole foods. Now, this is exactly what I need to get inspired in the kitchen again. I signed up for their monthly service before committing to an annual subscription.
But these days, I easily feed my family an allergen-free diet. So while I still cook meat dishes for my personal chef’s and my son’s clients, I have to be honest that I’m less than thrilled about it now that I’ve begun an affair with plant-based and often raw vegan food.
I never thought I’d become vegan (I honestly don’t think I could survive without meat protein), however, I’m well aware that something has to change as I no longer have a real appetite for food. This has been a huge change for me, having followed a variety of meat-based, starch-free, fruit and veg diets over the years in the hope that they will help heal my digestive and other physical issues. If your child or other family members are allergic to many foods or foods like gluten that are difficult to avoid, your family may need to make some adjustments. When you eat with a food allergy or intolerance, you need to learn how to cook with different ingredients and sometimes different cooking methods. Therefore, you need to find many safe ways to craft these items. In that case, you might consider taking a gluten-free allergy training course that can help you avoid foods that contain gluten and cook delicious food that won’t cause any allergies. Having a plan helps make sure you’re getting the nutrition you need.
